Kauko Räsenen medaljer bilder

Finnish sculptor Kauko Räsänen, born 1926.  It is his first designed medal.  He has designed numerous medals in addition to his important career as one of the leading sculptors in Finland.   American Numismatic Society J. Sanford Saltus award was awarded to Kauko Räsänen in 1986.

 Multicomponent medals are central in artist´s production.  Räsänen designed his first multicomponent medal in 1970 and later several two and three componet medals.  The works of Kauko Räsänen have been widely exhibited in Finland and internationally, latest in Munich Germany 2011 - 2012.
